It is hard to convince people that the Talking Heads were a punk band. Perhaps it comes from how polished they were in their Post-Eno period, or their penchant for bright colors, or their interest in world music and funk. Yet show someone an early performance and you swiftly relize that not only were the Talking Heads a punk band, but they might have been the greatest punk band.
